Job summary

NELBUD in Indiana is hiring a Fire Suppression Service Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain pre-engineered suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting on customer sites.

You will educate customers on code compliance, provide exceptional service, and travel to job sites using the company truck. The role includes growth opportunities, generous PTO and holidays, safety training, comprehensive health plans, and Pay on Demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in fire suppression.
• Valid driver’s license with access to company truck.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• A minimum of 3 years of driving experience required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Inspection, repair, and maintenance of pre-engineered suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lights.
• Inspect, repair, and exchange fire extinguishers on site and during transport as needed.
• Inspect, repair, and replace emergency lighting.
• Educate customers and sell products needed to code compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing NELBUD.

Your Typical Day

• Inspection, repair, and maintenance of pre-engineered suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lights
• Inspect, repair, and exchange fire extinguishers on site and transport, as needed
• Inspect, repair, and replace emergency lighting
• Educate customers and sell products needed to code compliance
• Provide exceptional customer service while proudly representing NELBUD

What Will You Bring?

• Ability to answer promptly to service calls
• Ability to access and tolerate small spaces and work in high places
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in fire suppression is strongly preferred
