NELBUD is seeking a dependable Fire Suppression Service Technician to join our Chicago-area team. You will inspect, service, and repair pre-engineered fire suppression systems and related equipment in commercial settings, ensuring code compliance and reliable operation.

The role welcomes those with mechanical skills, solid troubleshooting ability, and a customer-service mindset. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–3 years of fire suppression experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant fire suppression experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service responsibilities.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, repair, and maintain pre-engineered fire suppression systems.
• Inspect, repair, and replace fire extinguishers.
• Inspect, repair, and replace emergency lighting.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify necessary repairs.
• Educate customers on fire protection equipment and code compliance.
• Complete accurate service documentation.
• Respond promptly to service calls and provide exceptional customer service.
