Job summary

Nelbud Services, LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking a Fire Suppression Service Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain suppression systems, extinguishers, and emergency lighting on site. You will educate customers, deliver safe, compliant service, and grow with a safety‑focused team.

Preferred candidates have 1–3 years in fire suppression; a high school diploma or GED is required; a valid driver’s license with a clean record is needed for trucked assignments.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to inspect and service fire suppression components.
• Experience with safety regulations and code compliance is a plus.
• Strong customer-facing/service orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain pre-engineered suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lights.
• Inspect, repair, and exchange fire extinguishers on site and transport as needed.
• Inspect, repair, and replace emergency lighting.
• Educate customers and ensure products meet code requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing Nelbud.

Your Typical Day

• Inspection, repair, and maintenance of pre-engineered suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lights
• Inspect, repair, and exchange fire extinguishers on site and transport, as needed
• Inspect, repair, and replace emergency lighting
• Educate customers and sell products needed to code compliance
• Provide exceptional customer service while proudly representing NELBUD

What Will You Bring?

• Ability to answer promptly to service calls
• Ability to access and tolerate small spaces and work in high places
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in fire suppression is strongly preferred

What do you need to be considered for a driving position?

• Valid driver’s license – company truck provided from shop to job site
• You must be at least 20 years old
• A minimum of 3 years of driving experience is required
