Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a reliable Maintenance/Service Associate to perform servicing and repair of fire extinguishers and related equipment. The role includes assisting field technicians, delivering and picking up equipment, stocking inventory, and keeping the workshop orderly.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers.
• Assist on-road technicians with various required work.
• Perform deliveries/pickup at customer locations and suppliers where required.
• Receiving and stocking in designated areas and maintaining shop cleanliness.
• Repair service equipment as needed.

What you will do:

• Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers.

• wheeled units, and kitchen suppression cylinders.

• Perform hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses.

• Assist on-road technicians with a various assortment of required work.

• Perform deliveries/pickup at customer locations and suppliers where required.

• Picking orders to prepare for shipping.

• Receive and put stock away in designated areas.

• Maintain general cleanliness throughout the shop and work area.

• Repair service equipment where required.

What we look for

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

Preferred:

• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds

• Ability to adhere to and always follow safety guidelines and procedures

• Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision

• Must have excellent communication skills

• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $16.44 - 22.59 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
