Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Suppression Service Technician 4 in Livermore, CA to perform field labor on fire suppression systems, including diagnostics, repair, and servicing of equipment at customer sites. You will read blueprints, coordinate with customers, and participate in on-call rotations for emergency service.

Responsibilities

• Service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites; read blueprints and specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals; manage daily service calls and customer activity.
• On-call rotation for Emergency Service and inspections of suppression systems as required.

What you will do

Performs direct field labor work under guidance from Team Leaders and Managers Service project delivery. Work includes specialized knowledge in diagnostics and repair. Involves inspection and testing of fire sprinkler and suppression systems, intermediate repair and maintenance, safety and compliance, documentation and reporting, and customer communication and coordination. Includes O&M field labor support when necessary.

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products. You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $32.60 - $44.81 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
