Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a service technician to perform maintenance on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites in the Doraville, GA area. You will read blueprints and specs, troubleshoot, install and manage daily service activities with a focus on safety and quality.

The role involves on-call rotation for emergencies, strong customer-facing communication and the ability to use Windows-based software tools and mobile apps to document

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals; manage daily service calls.
• Troubleshoot and install varied manufacturers; participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Ensure safety, accuracy and quality in all service activities.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.

How you will do it

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirement
