Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites in Georgia. The role involves reading blueprints, installing and troubleshooting diverse systems, and supporting on-site customer needs.

You will join a on-site team, handle on-call rotations for emergency service, and ensure compliance with contract requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems.
• Extinguisher License required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong customer-facing problem solving.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Perform inspections of Suppression Gas Systems as per contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems and assist with service calls.
• Use of smartphone and equipment; may include government work.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs,schematics,and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products. You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

• Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, KiddiePyroChem

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25-40 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
