Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled service technician to perform on-site service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems and Suppression Gas Systems for diverse customers. You will read blueprints, interpret schematics, and troubleshoot across multiple manufacturers in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include managing daily service calls, supporting customer inquiries with professionalism, and participating in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in field service and repairs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong customer-facing service and problem-solving abilities.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Service and repair portable fire extinguishers, hood systems and gas suppression at client sites.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, specs and manuals to install and troubleshoot.
• Manage daily service calls and customer activity; document work.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service; inspect systems.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs,schematics,and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products. You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

How you will do it

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems
• Use of Smart Phone and Equipment
• May include government work

Preferred

• Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, KiddiePyroChem
• Local and State license if required.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.09 - 41.34 Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
