Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Fire Suppression Service Technician 4 in Livermore, CA. You will perform field service and repairs on fire suppression and related systems, read schematics, and document each service call.

You will inspect, test, and troubleshoot systems, coordinate with customers, and participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency service needs. This role offers training and growth within a global building solutions leader.

What you will do

Performs direct field labor work under guidance from Team Leaders and Managers Service project delivery. Work includes specialized knowledge in diagnostics and repair. Involves inspection and testing of fire sprinkler and suppression systems, intermediate repair and maintenance, safety and compliance, documentation and reporting, and customer communication and coordination. Includes O&M field labor support when necessary.

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs,schematics,and operational product manuals. Manage daily servicecall, customeractivityand program system products. You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $32.60 - $44.81 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
