Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled life safety technician to inspect, test, service, and repair fire sprinkler and life safety systems in the Murrieta, CA area. You will forecast schedules, communicate with building engineers, and ensure full compliance with NFPA standards.

The role requires 3+ years in the sprinkler field, a sprinkler fitter license or certification, and NICET certification pursued in the first year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years sprinkler industry experience.
• Sprinkler Fitter License/ Certification required.
• NICET certification to be pursued and maintained within first year.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; customer service oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills; able to work in a team or independently.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Flexible with scheduling including evenings, weekends, and out-of-town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and repair equipment per NFPA standards and codes.
• Review blueprints to determine system locations and placements.
• Notify site contacts of work status at start and end of day.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
• Provide weekly/daily job status updates to management.
• Adhere to company safety policy and Code of Conduct.
