Job summary

Impact Fire Services is locating a position at our Phoenix, AZ office to oversee fire protection systems installation for industrial, commercial and some residential projects. The role requires understanding NFPA codes, design and installation methods, hydraulic calculations and material lists for sprinkler systems.

Essential duties include design layout, field surveying, piping fabrication listings, cross-trade coordination, and managing project budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget

Qualifications

• NICET certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with fire sprinkler systems and NFPA codes.
• Solid mechanical knowledge related to piping and fabrication.
• Experience in fire protection installation or design.

Responsibilities

• Understand design and layout of fire sprinkler systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler designs.
• Conduct field surveying on installation sites.
• Review system piping listings for fabrication purposes.
• Coordinate installation between trades on projects.
• Manage costs and project budgets.

Job description

This position is located out of our Phoenix, AZ office.

Oversee Fire Protection Systems installation for all types of new and existing projects. Projects will include Industrial, Commercial and some Residential. Can comprehend NFPA code, design/ installation methods, hydraulic calculations & material lists for fire sprinkler systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand design & Layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems
• Hydraulic Calculations
• Field Surveying
• Understand listing of system piping for fabrication
• Coordination for installation between trades
• Managing cost and understanding budgets

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS

• NICET certification preferred but not required
• Fire sprinkler experience
• General mechanical knowledge
• Experience in Fire Protection Installation or Design

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated competency in verbal and written business communication skills.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with Company guidelines
• Able to complete documentation and administrative duties as necessary; proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee installation labor on assigned projects
