Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will work with clients, contractors and authorities to ensure code compliance and reliable operation.

Responsibilities include NFPA 25 inspections, reporting findings, testing pumps and valves, and performing preventive maintenance. Travel to client sites as needed and document all work thoroughly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience; NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to client sites as needed.
• Solid understanding of fire protection codes, NFPA 13 and NFPA 25.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25.
• Prepare detailed inspection and deficiency reports.
• Test sprinkler heads, valves, piping, pumps, and controls.
• Inspect piping, fittings and connections for corrosion or damage; recommend repairs.
• Perform maintenance on sprinkler systems and fire pump assemblies.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies; diagnose and fix issues.
