Job summary

Siemens in Laurel, MD is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Repair Technician to service and install wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, hydrants, and pumps across the greater Washington, DC area.

You will conduct inspections, document deficiencies, and adhere to safety policies while maintaining detailed on-site records. A valid driver’s license and ability to work in varied environments are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, associate, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in repair of water-based equipment.
• Ability to work in varied environments around mechanical equipment, including ladders and high-lift devices; able to carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license and eligible for Siemens fleet program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps
• Perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing
• Document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and report on-site
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment and follow corporate vehicle policies
