Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician 4 in California. The role involves installing and servicing wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps in commercial/industrial settings.

Expect reading blueprints, using office software, and flexible shifts, with a comprehensive benefits package. The position requires 3–5 years in the field, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a valid driving record.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in the industry.
• Working knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems, and fire pump.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Install fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial applications. May work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer/job requirements.
• Service and troubleshoot wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and backflows; perform repairs and inspections.
• Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.
• Move equipment up to 60 pounds; work on ladders/scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet+.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; wear required PPE and secure tools at end of shift.
• Submit time reports and other documents as required.
• Notify dispatcher/supervisor of changes or coordination problems.
• Occasional alternate shifts/weekends for on-call requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed.
