is seeking a skilled Fire Protection/Mechanical Designer to join our design team in West Virginia. You will draft sprinkler designs in line with NFPA, building and underwritten standards, and collaborate with customers and other trades to meet project goals. You will estimate design hours, prepare submittals, and ensure quality documentation across drawings and hydraulic calculations.

Qualifications

• NFPA 13 experience and fire protection design knowledge.
• Ability to produce sprinkler drawings and calculations.
• Experience coordinating with other trades on projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Design sprinkler systems per NFPA standards and project specs.
• Identify building construction type and hazard protection needs.
• Coordinate pipe drawings, heads, hangers, and other components with trades.
• Estimate and schedule design hours for projects.
• Produce drawings, hydraulic calculations, and submittals with quality control.
• Prepare project paperwork and ensure accuracy of test papers and permits.
