Sciens Building Solutions seeks an experienced Fire Sprinkler System Designer to join our team in Perkiomenville, PA. This role focuses on design of automatic fire systems, including pumps and various configurations, with detailed HydraCAD drawings and BIM integration.

The candidate will read plans, perform hydraulic calculations, coordinate with estimating, project management, field crews, and fabrication teams, and ensure code and AHJ compliance under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II in water-based systems layout.
• 2–5 years of fire protection system design experience.
• Ability to read and interpret fire system design drawings.
• Proficient in NFPA 13, 14, 20 & 24 code requirements.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret construction documents and plans.
• Fire sprinkler design of automatic fire systems, including pumps and various systems.
• Create detailed drawings using HydraCAD; design onto engineered drawings with BIM.
• Conduct field surveys and assist field personnel with design issues.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and detail stock lists for fabrication.
• Ensure compliance with codes and AHJ requirements; coordinate pre-construction with other trades.

## Fire Sprinkler System DesignerApply: Perkiomenville, PA: Full time: Posted Today: R-101268**THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL** Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler System Designer. This is a key position for our growing team that requires knowledge and attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA 13,14, 20 & 24. This position will work closely with our estimating, project management, field, and fabrication teams.**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)*** Read and interpret construction documents and plans.* Fire sprinkler design of automatic fire systems, including fire pumps, wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.* Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain individual schedule and completion dates.* Create detailed drawings through the use of HydraCAD software.* Use BIM to design system onto engineered drawings.* Conduct field surveys and assist field personnel with design-related installation issues.* Perform hydraulic calculations and detail stock lists for fabrication.* Ensure work complies with applicable codes and AHJ requirements.* Pre-construction coordination with other trades.* Identify changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements.**WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU*** Two to five years of fire protection system layout and calculation experience.* Ability to read fire system design drawings.* Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps.* HydraCAD and 3D coordination experience.* Experience with fire sprinkler industry design software.* Experience with installation of underground piping.* Ability to read fire system design drawings* Proficient in NFPA 13, 14, 20 & 24 code requirements.* NICET level II in water-based systems layout.* Knowledge of Fire and Life Safety industry.* Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.* Ability to work independently with some supervision.* Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.* Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.* Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.**WHAT WE’RE BRINGING TO THE TABLE*** Competitive salary based on qualifications.* Paid time off plan and holidays.* 401(k) matching.* Short term and long-term disability.* Medical, dental, and vision plans with options.* Life insurance.* Professional career development opportunities.* Tuition reimbursement.
