Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Sprinkler Design Engineer for its Delaware operation to help design and coordinate fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial projects. You will develop shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, and permit submittals, while collaborating with contractors, engineers, field teams, and AHJs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience, knowledge of NFPA 13, and proficiency with AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and applicable fire codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software.
• Experience designing wet, dry, preaction, and standpipe systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate with multiple trades.
• Strong understanding of sprinkler layouts, piping systems, and water supply analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, layout & consult Sprinkler, water-based fire protection systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Develop shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, permit submittals, and material takeoffs.
