Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring in Boise for a Fire Protection Technician. The role services and troubleshoots wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps while interpreting complex blueprints and specifications.

You will handle equipment up to 60 pounds and operate from elevated positions as required. Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent), 3–5 years in the industry, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in the industry.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps.
• Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams and specs used in installation activities.
• Carry/move equipment up to 60 pounds; work in challenging positions including ladders and high lift equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear required safety gear.
• Complete time reports and other required documents.
• Be available for alternate shifts or weekends for on-call support.
• Report changes or coordination problems to dispatchers to protect schedules.
