Job summary

Century Fire Protection in the Southeast seeks an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire sprinkler systems to NFPA standards. You will inspect wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems and collaborate with customers and field teams.

Responsibilities include documenting activity, coordinating with inspectors, and supporting on-call service. A high school diploma and 3+ years’ experience are required; NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of fire sprinkler service or installation experience.
• NICET certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge).
• Inspect, test, and repair backflow prevention assemblies; troubleshoot and repair failures.
• Diagnose system issues and identify required repairs or corrective actions.
• Document service activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions accurately.

Division 17 - Augusta, Aiken, ColumbiaSummaryResponsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company quality and safety requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.Inspect, test, and repair backflow prevention assemblies, including troubleshooting failures and completing necessary repairs.Diagnose system issues and identify required repairs or corrective actions.Conduct system testing, flushing, and functional checks.Document service activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions accurately.Communicate system status and service needs with customers and internal teams.Coordinate with inspectors, project managers, and other technicians as needed.Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory.Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.Support emergency and on-call service requests as required.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school and 3+ years of fire sprinkler service or installation experience; strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA standards; ability to read and interpret system drawings and specifications; mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; NICET certification preferred (or ability to obtain).Computer SkillsBasic computer skills, email.Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, crouching/bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical systems, and active facilities; overtime and on-call rotation may be requiredCentury Fire Protection is one of the largest and most successful full-service fire protection companies based in the Southeast and we are still growing!
