Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an entry-level Service Estimator who will provide estimates and proposals to customers, assess inspection deficiencies, and help coordinate trades to keep projects on track.

The role involves reading blueprints and contract documents, preparing repair proposals, coordinating with scheduling, and building positive customer relationships. Candidates should have a strong mechanical interest, be proficient with Word and Excel, and ideally have AutoCAD experience.

Qualifications

• High mechanical interest and aptitude for reading blueprints.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and spreadsheets.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, sell, and manage fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression projects.
• Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, contract documents, and project specifications.
• Generate proposals to customers for repairs based on inspection reports.
• Coordinate with scheduling to complete jobs.
• Develop positive, ongoing relationships with customers.
• Coordinate fabrication and material ordering; facilitate trades.
