Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Apprentice to join our Ocoee, FL team. You will assist in laying out, assembling, and installing pipe systems for fire sprinkler installations in commercial settings, under the guidance of a skilled technician.

• Construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to wear required protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines on job sites.
• Pre-employment drug test, background check, and 10-year employment verification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures and direction from the fire sprinkler service technician for the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems and components.
• Interpret blueprints and installation instructions.
• Assist in completing service work orders, including carrying materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Perform maintenance and replacement work on system components such as valves, gauges, and switches.
• Load trucks with materials, tools, and equipment and maintain a clean work area.

The Fire Sprinkler Service Apprentice at Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. assists in laying out, assembling, and installing pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for fire sprinkler systems in commercial and multi-family settings. This role involves performing all types of sprinkler work on-site, to include trouble-shooting, diagnosing, and repair of fire sprinkler systems and components, with the goal that all work is to be completed in a timely, accurate, and safe manner, and in compliance with relevant codes and WAFS standards. The apprentice works directly under the guidance of the fire sprinkler service technician.Position ResponsibilitiesFollow procedures and direction from the fire sprinkler service technician for the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems and components as well as working to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and to required standards.Follows the direction of the fire sprinkler service technician for the layout, assembly, and installation of pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
