Job summary

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers is seeking a Fire Alarm Apprentice for our Raleigh branch to support Foremen and Technicians on site. The role involves assisting with alarm work, troubleshooting, and installation, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The Fire Alarm Apprentice is responsible for providing assistance to Service Foremen and Technicians on a daily basis. He/she ensures that proper work is conducted in a timely and accurate manner, assists with alarm work, and follows all codes and WAFS standards. This is a fast paced position requiring the ability to climb ladders frequently, use industry tools, work overhead frequently, lift up to 60 pounds, reach into the air, push, pull, bend, climb, and walk regularly. The Alarm Apprentice reports to the Service & Alarms Superintendent/Manager and works under the guidance of the Alarm Foreman on jobsites.Day to Day:Ability to work closely with the Foremen to troubleshoot, repair, and install fire alarm systems accurately, on schedule, and within budget.Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch.Working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons, including summer months.Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing.
