Job summary

Mullins Mechanical seeks a skilled Fire Protection Project Manager to oversee sprinkler system projects from initiation through completion. You will coordinate field technicians, liaise with clients, ensure NFPA and AHJ compliance, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The role emphasizes strong knowledge of fire protection systems, proven project management experience, and excellent communication. Travel to job sites and flexible hours are common to support deadlines and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with emphasis on sprinkler systems.
• Proven project management experience, ideally in a service-focused environment.
• NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems (preferred).
• Project Management certifications (PMP, PgMP, CAPM) are highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects, including new installations and retrofits to existing buildings.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, technicians, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, track progress and performance.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, AHJ regulations, and company safety standards.
• Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and field service dispatch.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions for system deficiencies.
• Support sales by identifying opportunities and providing recommendations.
