Job summary

Johnson Controls in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Inspector 1 to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on sprinkler and life safety systems. You will document deficiencies, maintain inspection schedules, and professionally represent the company to customers.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, potential NICET I certification within 12 months, and the ability to obtain licenses.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
NICET I certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Able to obtain and retain licenses as required by codes.
Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, programs, schematics, and manuals.
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.

Responsibilities

Inspect and service life safety product lines including electrical, sprinkler or suppression systems.
Document deficiencies clearly during inspections and maintain accurate records.
Represent the company professionally and follow structured inspection schedules.
Complete service acknowledgements and inspections with proper coding via devices or paper.
Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
Assist foreman with installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
Work in challenging positions (ladders, scaffolding, high lifts) and travel as required.
