Qualifications

• Fire alarm license required or ability to obtain license
• 3 years of documented service experience in fire alarm or fire sprinkler systems
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals
• Experience using hand tools and a multimeter
• Strong troubleshooting aptitude and repairs
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50-70 lbs
• Ability to work at height and in tight spaces
• Flexible hours including weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Pass pre-employment background and drug checks
• Demonstrated customer service
• Self-starter with minimal supervision
• Strong organization and quick learning
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• NICET certification advantageous

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on life safety systems and product lines
• Work with low voltage wiring and devices used in system operation
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule
• Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents
• Make minor repairs and programming changes in the field
• Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees
• Complete assigned inspections on time and support other duties as assigned
