Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems. The role requires diagnosing deficiencies, detailing corrective actions, and ensuring NFPA and local code compliance.

You will work with customers and the internal team, travel to job sites as needed, and support entry-level technicians as part of a safety-conscious, professional service environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Travel to job sites as required.
