Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to our team Woburn, MA. As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role ensures that fire sprinkler systems are functioning correctly and effectively to protect lives and property. The inspector will create detailed reports of their findings and provide recommendations for any necessary repairs or upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant fire codes, safety standards, and manufacturer’s requirements.
  • Identify and document any deficiencies, impairments, or code violations within the fire sprinkler systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on fire sprinkler systems as needed.
  • Create detailed inspection reports outlining findings, actions taken, and recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Communicate with building owners, managers, and contractors to discuss inspection findings and remediation plans.
  • Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
  • Stay up to date with changes in fire codes and industry standards.
  • Participate in training programs and obtain required certifications to maintain qualifications.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inspection schedules and maintenance programs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in fire protection systems preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and standards.
  • Valid Massachusetts Sprinkler Journeyman license
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and different weather conditions.
