Job description

Join to apply for the Fire Sprinkler Inspector role at Century Fire Protection.

Summary

Responsible for testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems, identifying deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals according to experience level, and writing detailed reports on inspection deficiencies.

Division 9 Hickory, NC

Same as above.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing, and preventive maintenance of water-based and sprinkler systems.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
3. Perform system tests for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
4. Complete service documentation detailing findings.
5. Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and necessary corrective services.
6. Communicate with Service Manager and/or Inspections Coordinator regarding inspection or project delays, requirements, and status to ensure customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; 2-3 years experience inspecting various fire sprinkler systems; or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards; NICET II or III Certification preferred; Backflow Certification preferred.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

Additional Requirements

Pre-employment drug screen, clean MVR, overtime and weekend work may be required.
