Job summary

FSS Technologies in the United States is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead commercial installation crews on active job sites. You will direct day-to-day work, ensure safety, and keep projects on schedule in accordance with NFPA standards.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to read sprinkler plans, coordinate labor and materials, and mentor apprentices. A valid driver's license and field-based availability across our service area are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of commercial fire sprinkler installation experience.
• Foreman or crew leader experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Full-time, field-based role working from active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial fire sprinkler installation projects from start to finish.
• Supervise and develop apprentices and fitters.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and sprinkler shop drawings.
• Ensure NFPA standards and project specs are met.
• Communicate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
• Maintain schedules and labor budgets.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations on site.
• Complete daily reports and progress updates.
• Ensure every project meets quality standards.

Position Overview

FSS Technologies is hiring an experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead fire sprinkler installation crews on commercial job sites. This role directs the day-to-day work of a project crew, ensures the work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with NFPA standards, and mentors apprentices and fitters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial fire sprinkler installation projects from start to finish.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop apprentices and fitters assigned to the crew.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors on each job.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and sprinkler shop drawings.
• Ensure installations comply with NFPA standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate daily with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
• Maintain project schedules and labor budgets.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations on the job site.
• Complete daily reports, job documentation, and progress updates.
• Ensure every project meets FSS Technologies’ quality standards.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Education & Experience

• Minimum five years of commercial fire sprinkler installation experience.
• Previous experience as a foreman or crew leader is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• This is a full-time, field-based role working from active job sites within the assigned service area.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of NFPA 13 installation requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret sprinkler plans and construction drawings.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to direct and coach crew members.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage schedules, materials, and issues that come up on site.

What We Offer

• Pay range for this role is $26.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience. If holding NICET would go up to $45.00 per hour.
