Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking aFire Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. You will work closely with clients, regulators, and staff to ensure safety and system integrity.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, excellent communication, and the ability to travel to client sites. NICET certifications are strongly preferred and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
• NICET certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in installation, maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; interact professionally with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25.
• Prepare detailed reports of inspection findings and deficiencies.
• Test and evaluate sprinkler heads, valves, piping, pumps, and controls.
• Inspect piping for corrosion, leaks or damage; recommend repairs.
• Perform maintenance: replace components, clean pipes, lubricate, adjust settings.
• Test Fire pump assemblies: flow, pressure, integrity.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies; diagnose and fix issues.
• Document all activities in Service Trade platform.
• Provide inspection reports, material needs, and repair estimates to Deficiency Sellers.
• Schedule with clients; discuss findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to optimize orders and scheduling.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
