Job summary

CertaSite in Toledo, Ohio is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Level I to perform inspection, testing, service and repairs of fire sprinkler systems. You will document inspections, maintain equipment, and work with customers, with occasional after-hours work. The ideal candidate has basic math skills, a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of technical experience with aspects of plan preparation for water-based fire protection systems, including CAD drawings and field surveys.
• Ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Familiarity with Windows, Word, Outlook and mobile platforms; able to learn industry software.
• Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25.
• Troubleshoot and service pumps and related components.
• Document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and coordinate follow-ups.
• Keep vehicle clean and stocked with parts, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and tools needed to perform the job safely.
• Evaluate customer site for additional equipment or services.
• Work in accordance with the company's safety program.
• Perform on-site and/or off-site emergency troubleshooting of sprinkler systems.
• Test backflow prevention devices per NFPA 25 and local codes.
• Discuss deficiencies with customers and explain resolutions.
• Occasional night, weekend, or holiday work; irregular schedules by location.
• Be comfortable with heights, ladders, lifts, and confined spaces.
