Job summary

Confires Fire Protection Service, LLC in South Plainfield, NJ, seeks a Fire Sprinkler Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial, healthcare and educational projects. You’ll work with sales, engineering, and customers to align proposals with codes, standards and project specs.

The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of fire sprinkler estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and special hazard systems.
• Experience interpreting architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, bid documents to prepare estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for pipes, fittings, valves, and related materials.
• Estimate labor, equipment, subcontractor, and material costs.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and bid packages.
• Coordinate with design and project teams to ensure smooth handoff after award.
