Job summary

Almond & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team in Washington. The successful candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates for fire sprinkler system installations, modifications, and repairs, interpreting blueprints and project requirements.

The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of NFPA codes, experience with estimating software and MS Office, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Estimator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA codes, and regulations.
• Able to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience with estimating software and MS Office.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specs, and other docs to prepare cost estimates.
• Perform material take-offs and labor estimates.
• Research pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and clients to develop bids.
• Ensure all estimates comply with codes and client requirements.
• Prepare bid proposals with scope, pricing, and timelines.
• Track bid opportunities and follow up with clients.
• Maintain cost databases and estimation tools.
• Assist in value engineering to optimize costs.
