The role includes mentoring junior designers, supervising when needed, assisting project management, and maintaining client relationships while applying design guidelines and standards.

Candidates should hold a PE license, a relevant engineering degree, and strong proficiency in Revit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural engineering.
• 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• PE license required; FE exam completion preferred.
• LEED/WELL or sustainability certifications preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced systems with independence.
• Prepares layouts, drawings and schematics for projects.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Mentors less experienced designers and may supervise others.
• Provides technical guidance and leads project teams.
• Supports business development and client coordination.
