Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a fire sprinkler design professional to apply codes, develop layouts, and coordinate with engineers on code-compliant systems.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, and BIM 360 is required. 3+ years of design experience and NICET certification are preferred. Compensation ranges from $25 to $35 per hour DOE, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design and AutoCad.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and CAD software – AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, BIM 360.
• NICET certification (Level II or higher) in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; related engineering/drafting degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection codes and standards to the design of fire sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and reports.
• Develop working layouts and final master drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers/consultants to layout code-compliant systems.
• Design sprinkler, standpipe, pumps and underground systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and material lists for job sites.
• Prepare proposal documents and technical data like test procedures and maintenance manuals.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA, local/state codes.
• Walk sites for surveys and handle site conditions.
