Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of fire sprinkler design experience utilizing CAD or AutoSprink software.
• Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD 2018 or higher.
• Proficient in reading architectural, electrical, mechanical layouts and diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of fire alarm electronics, codes and practices.
• Understanding of NFPA codes & standards.
• Ability to follow supervisor directions to develop/design drawings.
• Valid driver’s license; driving record required.
• NICET certification a plus.
• Fire certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend project turnover meetings with design supervisor, project manager and field superintendent.
• Create fire sprinkler design drawings and submittal packages using AutoCAD/AutoSprink within system specs, costs and planning.
• Prepare submittal documents and permit applications.
• Include all views and dimensions necessary for installation.
• Perform BIM modeling for coordination using Navisworks and Revit.
• Manage material stock listing and purchasing for projects.
• Maintain project drawing files and documentation.
• Develop and maintain symbol/drawing libraries for future projects.
• Develop tools to increase quality of drawings and reduce task time.
• Operate plotter, scanner and reproduction equipment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
