Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to develop precise fire protection designs for industrial, commercial, and residential projects. You will guide designs from concept through approval, coordinating with field teams to ensure installations are prepared for on-site work.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with AutoSPRINK; knowledge of SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or HydroCAD is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–6 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• NICET certification is a plus.
• Experience with AutoSPRINK preferred; SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or HydroCAD also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems, including pumps, tanks, wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
• Create accurate designs to support field installation.
• Submit designs for approval and obtain permits as required.
• Complete design calculations and ensure projects stay within allocated hours.
• Review work orders and procedures to determine project requirements.
• Prepare submittal packages and fabrication lists.
• Conduct field surveys to verify designs fit the structure.
• Support field personnel with design-related installation issues.
• Prepare final close-out documents post-acceptance testing.
