Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Hickory, NC seeks an experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead field crews and oversee the installation of fire sprinkler systems. This hands-on leadership role requires pride in quality work and keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.

The role involves leading crews, laying out, fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems, and mentoring apprentices. Strong communication and scheduling coordination with designers and managers are essential to

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related fire sprinkler experience and/or training.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation and field practices.
• Leadership and communication skills.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Clean MVR.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews installing pipe, fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers according to plans and codes.
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain fire sprinkler piping systems.
• Train and mentor fitters and helpers on installation techniques.
• Communicate design changes and material shortages to designers.
• Produce accurate red-line drawings for the design team.
• Maintain daily progress reports and project paperwork.
• Attend project and coordination meetings as needed.
• Ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
