Job summary

Century Fire Protection LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to create accurate, detailed fire protection designs for industrial, commercial, and residential projects in Charlotte, NC. You will drive designs from inception through approval and collaborate with field teams to ensure installations are ready.

Required: 3–6 years of related experience or training, high school diploma or GED. NICET certification is a plus; experience with AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or HydroCAD

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–6 years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent).
• NICET certification is a plus.
• Experience with AutoSPRINK preferred; SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or HydroCAD also a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
• Create accurate, detailed designs for field installation.
• Submit designs for permit approval as required.
• Perform design calculations within allocated hours.
• Review work orders to determine project requirements.
• Prepare submittal packages and fabrication lists.
• Conduct field surveys to verify designs fit structures.
• Support field personnel with design-related installation issues.
• Prepare final close-out documents after acceptance testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
