Job summary

HCI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Engineer to join our Ontario, CA team. You will design sprinkler systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with other trades to ensure code-compliant installations.

You will use AutoSprink, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to develop 3D BIM models and project drawings, while working closely with project managers and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in Fire Sprinkler Design is desired. Training will be provided for less experienced candidates.
• NICET Certification preferred but not required.
• Rare overnight travel may be required.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA standards, government fire safety standards, and FM Global datasheets.
• Proficient in Autodesk, AutoCAD, Revit, AutoSPRINK, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office software.
• Capable of performing hydraulic calculations and experience with 3D BIM coordination.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Proactive and deadline-oriented, with the capacity to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and hydraulically calculate complete sprinkler and standpipe systems using AutoCad, AutoSprink, Navis and Revit Software
• Coordinate design with other building trades
• Produce stock list of material required throughout job progression
• Coordination with project manager and internal teams
