Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services seeks an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer for a direct hire role in Los Angeles, CA. You will design sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects, coordinating with teams and using SprinkCAD to ensure code-compliant layouts.

Responsibilities include hydraulic calculations, field surveys, BIM modeling, and fabrication support, with strong emphasis on accuracy, communication, and timely deliverables. 3–5 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Design and layout fire sprinkler systems for construction projects.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare accurate design documentation.
• Coordinate field surveys, trade coordination, fabrication support, and BIM-related design tasks.
• Support project delivery across industrial, commercial, and residential environments.
• 3 to 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Experience using SprinkCAD.
• Knowledge of fire sprinkler system layout, hydraulic calculations, and field coordination practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, and design requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in design work.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with project teams and trades.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout fire sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial, and residential construction projects.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure systems meet applicable requirements and project specifications.
• Conduct field surveys and gather accurate site information to support design development.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, trades, and project stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Support fabrication listings, material coordination, and BIM modeling activities as needed.
• Maintain organized design documentation and contribute to accurate, timely project deliverables.
