Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, HydraCAD or Sprinkler Design Software.
• Ability to apply NFPA standards to layout and design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings for sprinkler system placement.
• Interpret construction documents and architectural features for accurate design.
• Apply NFPA standards to system design and layout according to building type.
• Design and layout sprinkler systems using CAD packages based on AutoCAD.
• Coordinate sprinkler piping with other building components.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to support design decisions.
• Conduct field checks to verify design accuracy before installation.
• Collaborate with district contracting teams and installation crews.
• Coordinate material delivery to support installation start dates.
• Mentor others in sprinkler design execution.
• Assist sales with design estimates as needed.
