Job summary

Honeywell seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Fire Software portfolio, guiding cloud, mobile, IoT, and AI-enabled offerings worldwide. You will drive technology strategy, mentor managers, and partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Cybersecurity to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Based in Duluth, GA on a hybrid schedule, you’ll manage multiple teams, drive modernization, and ensure alignment between product strategy and execution while fostering innovation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience with increasing levels of technical and organizational responsibility.
• 7+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams and engineering managers.
• Proven track record leading large-scale SaaS, cloud-native, IoT, or enterprise software platforms.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, API-first development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, SRE, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience managing globally distributed engineering organizations.
• Experience in Fire & Life Safety domain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multiple engineering teams across cloud, platform, mobile, quality engineering, DevOps, and AI domains.
• Drive technology strategy, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making for large-scale initiatives.
• Own release planning, execution, and delivery of complex cross-functional programs.
• Drive Agile practices, engineering metrics, risk management, and operational rigor.
• Partner with Product Management, Cybersecurity, and Operations to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to align roadmaps with business needs and regulatory requirements.
