Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Principal Cyber Security Architect/Engineer to lead design and implementation of advanced cybersecurity solutions. You will be hands-on in fortifying defenses and act as SME for technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work model from Northford, CT.

This role guides security architectures across cloud, data centers, and AI; defines standards, mentors architects, and engages external partners to enhance the program while supporting risk

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a cyber-focused role.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI.
• Knowledge of network segmentation and secure network design.
• Knowledge of Data Center security, virtualization, and AI security considerations.
• Proven ability to develop enterprise security strategies & frameworks (Zero-trust, Secure AI).
• Hands-on experience with NIST, ISO 27001/ISO 62443, AI RMF, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Knowledge of encryption, tokenization, and DLP.
• Familiarity with EDR and antivirus technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead security reference architectures for Hybrid Cloud, Private Cloud, SaaS and Enterprise environments.
• Develop enforceable security strategies for Data Centers, Virtualization, and AI technologies.
• Provide architectural leadership for endpoint security, data protection, and SaaS integrations.
• Establish and enforce security architecture standards aligned with Honeywell’s goals.
• Engage with external partners to evaluate security tech integrations.
• Provide guidance on security best practices and emerging threats; pursue improvements to frameworks.
• Support security assessments and risk management across the enterprise.
• Support Physical Security during M&A by guiding secure integration and separation of systems.
• Serve as SME and mentor for security and IT architects.
