Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Fire Software portfolio, overseeing cloud platforms, mobile apps, IoT integrations, and AI-enabled offerings. You will guide multiple engineering teams, shape technology strategy, and collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, and Cybersecurity to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Based in Duluth, GA on a hybrid schedule, you will report to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
• 15+ years of software engineering experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• 7+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams and managers
• Proven track record leading large-scale SaaS, cloud-native, IoT, or enterprise software platforms
• Deep understanding of Cloud-native architecture, Microservices, API-first development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, SRE, Agile development
• Experience managing globally distributed engineering organizations

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multiple software engineering teams across cloud, platform, mobile, QA, DevOps, and emerging tech domains
• Drive technology strategy and align product requirements with engineering execution
• Provide architectural leadership for distributed systems, APIs, data platforms, and IoT solutions
• Champion best practices in design, testing, reliability, security, and observability
• Own release planning and execution for complex cross-functional programs
• Drive Agile practices and improve engineering velocity and quality
• Collaborate with Product Management to define roadmaps and strategic initiatives
• Represent Engineering in executive reviews and customer engagements
