Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Project Manager to lead fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects from planning through closeout in Livermore, CA. You will ensure safety, schedule, scope, and customer satisfaction while delivering quality and financial performance.

You will coordinate design, permitting, material delivery, labor, and field installation, and drive risk management. A PMP and NICET II are preferred; willingness to obtain within stated timelines will be

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PMP certification to be obtained within two years of employment.
• NICET Level II to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Project.
• Availability for frequent local travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects through all phases of execution.
• Establish local project offices and coordinate scope, risk, methodology, and resource planning.
• Manage schedules, costs, safety, quality, and customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate design, permitting, material delivery, labor scheduling, and field installation.
• Facilitate Work in Progress meetings, status reviews, and issue resolution with internal teams and customers.
• Support change orders and seek opportunities to improve project margin.
• Ensure projects align with codes, standards, specifications, and AHJ requirements.
