Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Service Technician - Fire I to grow with a market-leading life safety provider. You will perform inspections, testing, installation, and maintenance across fire detection, security, CCTV, and monitoring systems.

The role requires knowledge of NFPA codes, the ability to program systems, and the willingness to travel within NC/SC for day trips. Training will be provided to qualify for NICET certification and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in commercial/industrial fire alarm systems.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word documents as they relate to inspection reporting.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds
Must be able to work on lifts and ladders
Must possess hand tools

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and maintenance of life safety product lines.
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve them via equipment or software changes.
Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
Support emergency service call-outs on a rotational basis.
