Job summary

MSS Fire, LLC in Lexington, SC, seeks a Fire Alarm Service Technician to perform inspections, testing, servicing, and installation of life safety systems. The role includes troubleshooting, software changes, and maintaining inspection documentation with laptop-based tools.

The ideal candidate has two years of experience with fire alarm systems, familiarity with NFPA codes, and the ability to travel within NC/SC.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in commercial/industrial fire alarm systems.
Experience with Excel and Word for inspection reporting.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret technical/parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be willing to travel within NC/SC for day trips and extended hours.
Possess or obtain knowledge of NFPA/state/local fire codes and NICET certification.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventive maintenance of life safety product lines.
Troubleshoot system problems via equipment or software changes.
Maintain a structured inspection schedule.
Input and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
