1st FP Companies, LLC in Texas is seeking a Fire Extinguisher/Suppression Technician for the Buda office to inspect, service, maintain, repair, and install extinguishing equipment. The role requires a safety-first mindset and comfort working in physically active environments.

The position emphasizes adherence to applicable laws and codes, ability to read instructions, and proficient communication with team members and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fire Extinguisher License preferred but not required (FEL).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and customers.
• Ability to perform routine to moderately complex inspections, service, and repair of extinguishing equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow laws, codes, and regulations.
• Able to work on ladders or in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire suppression equipment.
• Service on portable fire extinguishers including recharge and hydrostatic testing.
• Inspect and repair kitchen suppression systems.
• Test extinguishers and inspect hoses for compliance.
• Install extinguishers in new or renovated facilities and install fire suppression systems.
• Monitor inventory and request supplies, materials, and equipment.
