Job summary

1st FP Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Extinguisher/Suppression Technician for our Buda, TX office. Responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, and installing portable and fixed fire extinguishing equipment in commercial and industrial facilities.

Role requires strong attention to safety and the ability to work in a physically active environment. Valid driver’s license and communication skills with coworkers and customers are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fire Extinguiser License preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on ladders or in tight spaces.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs on fire suppression equipment (extinguishers, kitchen systems, hoses).
• Service on portable extinguishers: recharge, 6-year service, hydrostatic testing, parts replacement.
• Inspect and repair kitchen suppression systems.
• Clean and recharge extinguishers with appropriate materials.
• Test extinguishers and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Install extinguishers and suppression systems in facilities.
• Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
• Tag equipment to certify inspection and operability.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
• Follow safety standards as prescribed.
